Overview
Coronis Health has introduced a redesigned PreOp Document that enhances usability, efficiency, and layout flexibility. This new version is macro-based and supports dynamic orientation (portrait and landscape), improving readability and workflow compared to the legacy portrait-only format.
What’s New in the Redesigned PreOp
1. Macro-Based Workflow
- The document is structured around modular macros (e.g., Patient Info, Allergies, Medications, History, Physical Exam, Airway, Vitals, Labs, Assessment).
- Each section can be completed independently using structured inputs and predefined options.
- Supports chart-by-exception workflows (e.g., “WNL” selections for quick documentation).
2. Dynamic Layout (Portrait + Landscape)
- Unlike the current PreOp (portrait-only), the new version:
- Automatically reflows content
- Uses landscape orientation when needed to better display dense clinical data (labs, vitals, summaries)
- Improves:
- Print readability
- On-screen review experience
- Data density without clutter
3. Consolidated Clinical View
The redesigned layout presents key patient data in a single, structured dashboard-style view, including:
- Patient demographics & identifiers
- Allergies & medications
- Problem list (by system)
- History (social, surgical, anesthesia complications)
- Physical exam & airway assessment
- Vitals & lab results
- Imaging & cardiac testing summaries
Example from redesign:
- Labs displayed in grouped panels (CBC, BMP, COAG)
- Airway and vitals shown side-by-side for quick review
- Problems organized by system (CVS, Pulm, Neuro, etc.)
4. Improved Navigation
- Left-side navigation allows quick access to:
- Patient Info
- Allergies
- Medications
- History
- Labs
- Imaging/Cardiac
- Physical Exam
- Airway
- Vitals
- Assessment & Plan
- Enables faster switching between sections without losing context
5. Enhanced Data Visualization
- Color-coded sections for quick scanning
- Grouped panels for related data (e.g., labs, imaging)
- Clear separation of:
- Imported data vs. manually entered data
- Alerts and indicators (e.g., lab availability warnings)
Availability
- The new PreOp Document is currently available in QA and can be enabled upon request
