If an appointment does not appear in the Patient List, starting a record for the patient may be necessary. This could be because the patient’s procedure was unscheduled, emergent, or simply new to Anesthesia Touch (in cases where the system doesn’t receive the schedule via an interface).
To begin the record for a new patient, do the following:
- In Anesthesia Touch, in the Patient List, tap + New Patient.
- Tap Docs and New, then select the document type.
- If you want to start an Interop, tap New Patient and Interop at the bottom.
- If you want to start an Interop, tap New Patient and Interop at the bottom.
- Type the patient’s MRN or Account number to auto-populate the patient's information.
- Tap Save. The record will display.
Emergency or Unscheduled Patients
If the patient has no known record or is an emergency patient, tap Emergency Pt in the Create Case dialog to add placeholder information.
Proceed to the selected document and begin charting.
