Coronis will update Anesthesia Touch in the App Store to version 4.5.199 on Tuesday, February 20th. Users and organizations must update the iPadOS client as soon as possible on the 20th.
The new version has limited support for the prior version of Anesthesia Touch (4.5.198), so clinicians can use the old version for basic charting if necessary. Coronis strongly recommends updating all iPads as soon as possible after the release.
What's New?
- Clinicians can now select an Appointment in the Patient List and mark it as a PreOp Clinic to create PreOp Clinic Documents exclusively for findings at an appointment before the DOS. The PreOp Clinic can be signed and saved; AT will prompt clinicians to import the Clinic findings when starting a PreOp on the DOS (Day of Surgery). (This is based on the Patient’s MRN.)
- This release adds support for additional formulary configurations for Pharmacy Connect to support more pharmacy formularies and management systems.
- The Attachment button will now always be accessible in the Patient List toolbar to improve the usability of this feature for visits in the Patient List.
- Minor UI improvements and other fixes
PreOp Clinic
To turn an appointment with no documents started into a PreOp Clinic appointment, select the Appointment Row in the Patient List and then click the Document Status, New, and PreOp Clinic.
PreOp Clinic appointments can only have the PreOp Clinic created and signed, and you can add additional files by clicking the Attachments button. They are clearly marked in the Patient List and have only the PreOp Clinic document tracking checkbox.
To revert an appointment to a regular appointment, open the PreOp Clinic document and click Remove in the Toolbar.
To complete the PreOp Clinic, the user should sign the PreOp Clinic as normal. This document has a unique name and can be handled uniquely or held for interfaces.
When a patient with a previously signed PreOp Clinic has a PreOp started on a typical DOS, Anesthesia Touch will prompt the clinician to import (or ignore) the data from the PreOp Clinic.
