In Anesthesia Touch, a concurrency alert will trigger when:
- A provider works on two or more cases simultaneously.
- A provider works full-time on one case but supervises another provider on another case.
- A provider medically directs 3 cases, supervising 2 CRNAs and 1 SRNA or 1 CRNA and 2 SRNAs.
- A provider supervises a separate CRNA on more than 4 separate cases (more than 4 CRNAs).
If a concurrency shows in error, a provider may have selected the wrong time for an Anes Start/Anes Stop. Usually this happens when a provider accidentally selects the wrong day and does not notice. If there is no timing issue, the concurrency may need to be cleared from the database by correcting the time there.
Additionally,
- A MD can sign out other MDs, CRNAs, and SRNAs
- A CRNA can sign out SRNAs
- A SRNA cannot sign out CRNAs or MDs
