When Anesthesia Touch app on iOS is behaving in an unexpected way, retrieving the console logs may be a an advanced troubleshooting step. The log may reveal what is going on behind the scenes to resolve the issue.
This procedure requires access to a Mac running macOS.
Using the Console on macOS Sierra*\
First, physically connect the iPad to your Mac, using the appropriate lightning cable. If prompted to allow either device to trust the other, elect to trust the devices and then proceed.
Then, on the Mac, do the following:
- Open the Console application (from the Utilities folder inside your Applications folder)
- Click the leftmost button in the toolbar to show the sidebar, if it’s hidden
- Select iPad in the tab bar
- If the Activities button in the toolbar is enabled with a blue icon, click it to turn this off
Open Anesthesia Touch on the iPad and attempt to trigger the issue. This should show output on the Console screen of the Mac. This could be a large amount of text.
- Return to the Console on the Mac, and select the recent error messages from the main window, or from the Menu Bar choose Edit ▸ Select All
- From the Menu Bar, choose Edit ▸ Copy. Then, open the TextEdit application and paste the copied logs into a new plain text document
- Save the text document in .txt format, and attach to a ticket in the Plexus TG Support Portal (Zendesk)
